How We Got Started:
One Word Encourage LLC, founded by a Breast Cancer warrior Mary P. Wells, transforms lives through spiritual journals and heartfelt encouragement. Mary's journey from crisis to advocate inspires us to find strength in one word, uplifting those facing their darkest times. The mission of the organization is to encourage everyone to thrive!
Meet The Founder: Mary P. Wells
Mary Wells is purpose driven to share God’s Word of Encouragement wherever goes including with those who face traumatic experiences. As an 11-Year Breast Cancer Thriver, she resigned from her corporate career of 20 years in Human Resources to launch One Word Encourage, LLC in October 2019. The mission is to share encouragement for everyone to thrive. Mary received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Theology Mission and Ministry from the University of the Cumberlands.
Mary is a self-published author of the One Word Encourage Journal Trilogy Series reaching readers all the way to the Netherlands and One Word Encourage Podcast Host which is on Spotify that focuses on one word of encouragement to overcome any circumstance. Mary’s cancer journey, ministry, and community service involvement has been featured in CanvasRebel and Brainz Magazines, and online platforms that include, “Wonder Women Wednesday,” “A Second Chance.” “Showing Up: Perspectives On Cancer,” and Navigating Cancer Together Podcast. Mary’s writing and spiritual support experience has been vital and impactful to students as an Elementary School Educator and Certified Reading Tutor Educator to assist and help improve elementary and middle school students’ reading skills.
Also, Mary’s enjoys time with her son Kaleb who is 13-years old and will be officially playing on his middle school’s basketball team soon. When they are out and about, in most cases you will see them together at community events.
