Maintain Perfect Peace Through Scriptures
So let’s begin with some pondering questions pertaining to peace. What is peace? Who is the source of peace? Who gives peace? Where is peace located? Who has peace? How do I receive peace? Can I really maintain peace? Peace is a state of remaining calm during circumstances. God who is in Heaven is the source of peace. Keeping peace that is perfect occurs continually by applying Scriptures. The Scripture to reference is you will be kept in perfect peace all who trust in and thoughts are fixed on God. (Isaiah 26:3, Good News Bible). There’s a trust decision to make right now!
Disciples who are Kingdom Citizens have peace from Jesus that he left. “Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you.” (John 14: 27A, Good News Bible). Located on the inside of the human body in spirit, specifically the mind is where peace resides.
Let's be honest with our current state of being. So much time has been spent on buying stuff and talking for hours to people about circumstances. Time has been wasted. Scriptures are not read, studied, applied because the trust is in the world. There’s a continual replay in the mind of what people have said and written. The unfortunate results include anxiety, chaos, confusion, and doing the same things repeatedly. There's a continual unfruitful cycle of events. Let’s be very clear, when we spend time on things, activities and in conversations about circumstances outside of the Scriptures, it's all a mismanagement of time and resources. Character has been compromised because we found someone or something else as the source and priority for peace. These are disguised distractions living based on what the world says and not the truth stated in the Scriptures. This reality check from this moment forward to retain the peace that is within.
Here are the next steps to take before moving forward. Go to a room free from distractions, close the door, and pray. Repent and confess sinning against God. The things that we have seen and heard are contrary to the Scriptures. Thank God for being Forgiveness. Then expect great changes being set free to live peacefully during all circumstances.
